Personal and private

Your world is not everyone's.

To make a personal story, you tell us personal things. Often about a child. Below is exactly what happens with that — without fine promises we cannot keep later.

Four principles

What we hold ourselves to

  • You decide what you share

A photo is never required. Without one, you describe what someone looks like and Mira makes a character from that. The story is no less for it; the likeness is.

  • The source photo disappears

Once you have approved the drawn version of a character, the original photo is no longer needed. It is deleted after ninety days; the approved drawing stays.

  • Stories are private

What you make is not on our site and is not shown to others. If you want to share it, you do so — with a file or a link that you send.

  • You can remove it

You remove characters yourself in your account, together with the photos that belong to them. To have a story or your whole account deleted, e-mail [email protected].

Questions about privacy

Is my child's photo used to train AI?

No. What we process is not used to train models; that is laid down in contract. For abuse checks, requests may be kept for up to thirty days.

Do I have to upload a photo?

No. You can also simply describe what someone looks like. The likeness is then less close; the story stays the same.

How do I delete everything?

You delete characters and their photos yourself, from your account. For a story or your whole account, e-mail [email protected] and we remove it. Invoices remain: the tax authorities require us to keep them for seven years. They contain your name and address, not your story.

May I use a photo of someone else?

Only with that person's consent, or the parents' if it is a child. That is not just polite, it is what the law asks — and we cannot check it for you.

Where is the data kept?

Our own storage is within the European Economic Area. Where processing takes place outside it, it falls under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

There is surely someone you can picture right now.

Tell Mira who that is and what the two of you have been through together. The rest she asks by herself.
