What people ask about this
How long before I see something?
The first character is there after three screens, usually within five minutes. The story proposal — title, cover and the first paragraphs — follows shortly after. The full story is only written after payment and is usually ready within an hour.
How is this different from a book where only the name changes?
In a book like that the story is fixed: your child gets the name and sometimes the looks, and the rest is the same for every child. At MiraTells the story itself is written for you — around the people in it, what makes your child happy and the memories you share. Two children with the same name do not get the same book. And nothing goes to the printer before you have read and approved it.
Do I have to fill in everything?
No. Only who the main character is, how old they are and how Mira draws them are required. The rest — friends, interests, memories, a message — makes the story better, but you may skip it.
What if the story is not what I hoped?
Then it does not go ahead like that. Before payment you can let Mira think of something else. After payment you read the full story and can ask for a change per scene. Only when you approve is anything printed.
Can I stop halfway and carry on later?
Yes. What you fill in is saved automatically and you come back to the same step. On the same device that happens by itself; with an account it works on another one too.
Who makes the illustrations?
They are made with artificial intelligence, based on what you tell and the photos you upload. Mira first makes a drawing of each character that you approve, and uses it in every scene — so the same child stays the same child throughout the book.
