Christmas
A Christmas story that begins in your house.
Christmas books are usually about another family, in another house, with another tree. This one is about yours: the table everyone sits at, who is there this year, and what always happens at your house.
Personal. Really personal.
What belongs to Christmas at your house
Every family has something that comes back every year and exists nowhere else. Thát is the material.
- who sits at the table, and who rings
- the star on top, the bauble with the crack, the tablecloth
- what is eaten and who makes it
- the walk, the church, the film — your habit
- the pet under the tree
- someone who cannot be there this year
“She turned straight back to the first page to find her gran again.”

On Christmas Day there is someone in the garden nobody knows, who knows exactly what everyone is called.

Order before early December
December is the busiest month at every printer. Ordering later, choose the eBook or the audiobook — those are there straight away, and the hardcover can still be ordered afterwards.
Questions people often ask
Until when can I order for Christmas?
For a printed book we go by early December; after that it gets tight at the printer and the post. Digital versions can be ordered up to the day itself.
Is it about Father Christmas or the nativity?
About neither, unless you want it to be. You can write down in your own words what belongs to Christmas at your house — faith, family, food, or all three — and Mira follows that.
Can someone who is no longer with us be in it?
Yes, and at Christmas people ask for that more often. Write down how you want them remembered; Mira does not make a farewell story of it unless you ask. You read it beforehand and decide whether it is right.
