Fantasy & adventure
What if the door at the back of the wardrobe dóes open?
Fantasy works best when it starts somewhere real. Mira lets the adventure begin in your own back garden, your own attic, your own street — and only then does it get big.
Personal. Really personal.
What Mira ties the fantasy to
A dragon is exciting. A dragon hiding behind the shed you really have is yours.
- where it begins: the attic, the woods, the garage
- who comes along, and who stays home
- what the main character dares and what not yet
- an object from the house that gets a part
- the animal that becomes the guide
- how it ends — you set the tone
“She turned straight back to the first page to find her gran again.”

Sometimes all you need is a small idea
Three directions Mira can take
The lost dragon’s egg
Something warm under the hedge, and nobody who knows where it came from. Hatching it is easier than taking it back.
The train to the stars
On the platform stands a train that is not in the timetable. It leaves in two minutes.
The secret under Grandma’s garden
Under the rose bush is a hatch. Grandma has known about it for sixty years and never told anyone.
You need not choose. “Let Mira choose” is there too, and your own idea is always welcome.
From your world
What you tell, and what comes out
- Daan, 7
- collects stones
- afraid of the dark
- dog Storm
Mira’s proposal
Daan and the stone that gave light
The stone Daan finds by the ditch glows at night. Storm barks at it, and together they follow the light to a place where the dark turns out to be something other than Daan always thought.
An example of what such a proposal looks like. Yours will be about you.
Your story. In the format that suits you.

From age 3, loveliest around 6 to 9
Young children want one wonder; older children want rules for that wonder. Mira adjusts the size of the fantasy to the age — the same idea becomes an adventure at seven and a dream at four.
Questions people often ask
Will it not get too scary?
Mira keeps excitement within the page: what goes wrong comes right before the page is turned. And you read the story before it is made, so you see exactly what happens.
Can I use my own idea?
Yes. There is a field in which you can write down in your own words what it should be about. Mira makes a story from that; she invents nothing you have not said.
Are real people in it too?
That is precisely the point. Besides the main character you can add up to four people or animals — family, friends, the pet. They are the reason it does not become a random fairy tale.
